Month of Pink '17 21: Katt Monroe

A wide grin was on Katt’s face as she watched Falco grumble out profanities.  She knew just how to ruffle the bird’s feathers.

“What’s wrong, Falco?  Aren’t happy to see me?” asked Katt with a purr.

Falco glared at the pink-furred feline. “What makes you think I’d be happy to see you?!”

Katt merely rolled her eyes at Falco’s words.  To anyone who didn’t know Falco would have been hurt by how harsh the words were, but Katt has known him long enough to know better.  This wasn’t “mean” Falco, this was “annoyed” Falco and she enjoyed every bit of it.

“Don’t be like that, Falco.  You know you enjoy my company,” replied Katt as she sauntered up to him. “I know I enjoy yours.”

“Stop that,” demanded Falco, eyes narrowed on her. “Just tell me why you’re here.”

Katt really wished Falco would just give in for once. “I want to join Star Fox so I can be closer to you.”

She received a blank look for her honesty.  It quite honestly ticked her off as she was expecting him to be flustered.  It ticked her off even more when Falco gave off a scoff.

“We don’t need any of that on the team.  Bad enough when Fox and Krystal get all flirty,” stated Falco with a grimace.

“You don’t have to be a jerk about it,” said Katt with a hiss.

“Then stop being stupid and be serious for once!”

“I am being serious, you jerk!  You’re the only reason I want to join your team!”

The two glared at each other, neither of them budging an inch.  It was then Katt struck with the reflexes of her species.  She placed a quick kiss on the tip of Falco’s beak, catching the avian off guard.

“K-Katt!  What the hell?!” cried out Falco, his face heating up quite a bit as he stared at her with wide eyes.

“Looks like I win!” stated Katt with some giggles.

She continued laughing when Falco returned to muttering profanities.  She may not have been able to join Star Fox, but she was still able to make Falco flustered.  All in all it was a good day for Katt.
